Nathan Lloyd Casting Child Safety Policy
Purpose
This Policy outlines the commitment of the management and staff of Nathan Lloyd Casting (NLC) to provide a child safe and child friendly environment.
Commitment to child safety
All children who audition at NLC have a right to feel and be safe. The welfare of the children will always be our priority and we have a zero tolerance to child abuse. We aim to create a child safe and child friendly environment where children feel safe.
Cultural Safety and Diversity of Children
Although all children are vulnerable, some children face additional vulnerabilities. The staff at Nathan Lloyd Casting value diversity and do not tolerate any discriminatory practices. To do this we promote:
the cultural safety of First Nations children
the cultural safety for children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds
the safety of children with a disability
Auditions for Children under 15 years
As the Department of Child Welfare outlines, all auditions for any child under the age of fifteen years will be held with two adults in the audition room. This may be the child’s parent/guardian or a staff member.
A parent/guardian must be present for any Zoom or online casting session, or recall.
Working with Children Permit
All staff at Nathan Lloyd Casting have current Working with Children permits:
